Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- Update from friends in NY:
We see this verbiage over and over when leftist gun-haters are arguing for new restrictions on citizens:
‘… important governmental interest in public safety and crime control’
Curiously, we never hear about
‘… individual rights guaranteed to the private citizen’
It always about ‘powers,’ never ‘rights!’
Government employees ‘need‘ patrol carbines and pistols, all with ‘ high-capacity‘ magazines, supposedly in order to protect us (but mostly themselves, and especially their political bosses) from ‘progressively better-armed, and increasingly violent, criminals.’
However, these same leftists insist that we private citizens don’t ‘need‘ these same weapons in order to protect ourselves from these same ‘ better-armed and increasingly violent” criminals! Conversely, they beg persistently that the state has an ‘interest‘ in stripping all of us of our guns.
In fact, in order to protect ourselves from criminal violence, we’re told to use fire extinguishers and staplers!
When police respond to an ‘active shooter,’ do they arrive at the scene with fire extinguishers and staplers? Do police confront these same armed and violent criminals with fire extinguishers and staplers?
Why, then, do leftists, with a straight face, suggest that citizens be given no choice but to do that? What kind of ‘success‘ do they expect us to have?”
Comment: In a final act of hypocrisy, M4s issued to state police are always called “Patrol Carbines” Those exact, same M4s, when owned by private citizens, are always called “assault weapons.”
Even their language is predictably a fraud. They are incapable of so much as a honest thought!
“Who love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were ever our countrymen.” ~ Sam Adams
